Building an Enterprise IT Operations Management Architecture to Meet Service Levels and Reduce Cost

Join former Merck™ CIO Dr. Charles Popper as he describes an IT Infrastructure Reference Architecture for efficiently delivering IT services in today's complex environment.

Because large enterprises are rethinking and, in some cases, reengineering how they manage their Information Technology infrastructures, process frameworks like ITIL are an important step to respond to their customers' demands for higher quality operations at a lower cost, but they only go so far. More often than not, specific software solutions are required to achieve service objectives.

As part of Aperture's Data Center Best Practices Webcast Series, please join our featured speaker Dr. Charles Popper, CEO of Tech Par Group and former CIO of Merck & Co., as he presents a reference architecture for IT Operations Management that shows how a number of best-of-breed tools and technologies can deliver infrastructure services more effectively and efficiently. We will highlight the specific benefits realized by automating the management of the physical infrastructure within the context of this broader solution set.

During this one-hour webcast, we will take the specific example of Enterprise Change Management (ECM) and explore how physical infrastructure management increases the value of an ECM solution by enabling the proper specification, communication, visualization, and implementation of all changes to the physical infrastructure. Here Dr. Popper will share the specific value proposition for Senior Management, Service Managers, Purchasing, Engineering, and Operations and show how physical infrastructure management - when integrated with a best-practices driven change and asset management solution - improves the quality and consistency, and reduces the cost and the risk of managing the IT Infrastructure.
